Steak & Seasoning:
- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, sliced
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Cheese & Garnish:
- ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack
- ½ cup shredded provolone
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Pat the steak dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
- Make Garlic Butter: Reduce heat to low, add butter, and stir in minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Melt Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the steak. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for 2 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve hot!

- Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor.
