Ingredients

Scale

For the Bread:

  • 1 large sourdough or French bread loaf
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

For the Spinach & Artichoke Filling:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
  • 1 cup canned or jarred artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Bread

    • Using a sharp knife, cut the bread into a grid pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through.
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
    • Brush the butter mixture evenly over the bread, ensuring it seeps into the cuts.
  3. Make the Filling

    • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
    • Stir in the chopped spinach and artichoke hearts until well combined.
  4. Stuff the Bread

    • Carefully spread the spinach-artichoke mixture into the cuts of the bread.
    • Push some extra shredded cheese into the bread for extra gooeyness.
  5. Bake

    • Cover the bread loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve & Enjoy!

    • Let the bread cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
    • Pull apart and enjoy the cheesy, delicious goodness!

Notes

  • Make Ahead Tip: You can prepare the filling a day in advance and store it in the fridge.
