  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 large jalapeños, halved and seeded
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  • In a medium bowl, mix shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and shredded mozzarella until well combined.

Step 2: Stuff the Jalapeños

  • Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture into jalapeño halves. Press them back together to form whole stuffed jalapeños.

Step 3: Coat with Panko Breadcrumbs

  • Roll each stuffed jalapeño in panko breadcrumbs, ensuring an even coating.

Step 4: Heat the Oil

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C).

Step 5: Fry to Perfection

  • Fry in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Step 6: Drain & Serve

  • Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and serve warm with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level: Keep some seeds for extra heat or remove all for a milder taste.
  • Alternative cooking methods: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Double coating: Dip in egg wash before rolling in panko for extra crispiness.
