For the Beef and Broccoli:
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, minced
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch

Marinate the Beef:
- Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch and soy sauce. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey, beef broth, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.

Cook the Broccoli:
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Beef:
- In the same pan, heat another tablespoon of oil. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

Combine and Finish:
- Add garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return the beef and broccoli to the pan. Pour the sauce over and toss until everything is evenly coated and the sauce thickens (1-2 minutes).

Serve:
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
Notes
- For extra heat, add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
- Substitute chicken or tofu for beef for variation.
- Frozen broccoli can be used if fresh is unavailable.
